Uh, I believe Turles is totally unrelated to Bardock and his family. Just for the record.

He is a one off.

I'm thinking that is most probably the case. The dub aired on Toonami in England had Turles making references to Goku as his brother (but with the crappy dubbing they give the DBZ movies in England I wouldn't believe it).

Hell, I've heard all sorts of theories; twin, cousin, uncle, even clone of Goku.

The toonami dub had Goku saying that their physical likeness made them like twins, but he didn't (nor did Turles, or anyone else for that matter) say they were related. Merely happen to look similar.
A lot of people claim they are cousins. This however, is erroneous claptrap. ^_^
